From and after the passage of the ordinance codified in this chapter and its approval by the mayor, the names of the streets, avenues, places, roads, drives, ways and lanes shall be as indicated and named on that certain map of the city, which is one file in City Hall and by this reference made a part of this chapter. Such a map is adopted and approved as the official map of the city, which map was prepared, compared and compiled by the engineering department and showing thereon the date of August 7, 1973.
