The purpose of this chapter is to establish zoning regulations that provide for state licensed medical marijuana and commercial recreational marijuana activities allowed under voter-approved statewide initiatives and subject to other statewide administrative rules. The requirements of this chapter are intended to be consistent with those regulations and, in some cases, augment them as necessary to provide adequate safeguards to address potential public health, safety and welfare considerations, particularly those associated with the cultivation, processing, and production of marijuana and the detrimental effects such activities may have upon McMinnville citizens and neighborhoods.
