It shall be the duty of the director of public works to coordinate the programs and activities of the street department, sewage disposal department and the office of the building inspector to develop an overall plan for the location of streets and the improvement and repair thereof, and the location and serviceability of storm drains, sanitary sewers and buildings within the city, and to recommend to the mayor and council improvements and changes to overall street plan of the city, extension of storm drains and sanitary sewers. The director of public works shall perform such other duties as shall be from time to time required by the council. (Ord. 3325 §2, 1967).
