A. The judge shall have all inherent and statutory powers and duties of a justice of the peace within the jurisdictional limits of the city. The chief of police shall assist the judge in the serving of subpoenas. The clerk of the court shall serve notices of jury duty and perform such other orders of the court as are necessary for the proper conduct thereof.

B. The judge may, by order, designate an employee or employees of the city to accept bail in accordance with a minimum bail schedule established by the court.

C. The judge shall be responsible for the keeping of such dockets and accounts necessary to properly record all proceedings of the municipal court. (Ord. 4658 §4, 1997; Ord. 3990 §4, 1979; Ord. 3541 §10, 1970).
