Any person or firm who, without being licensed as provided in this chapter, engages in the business of selling or otherwise transferring, or who advertises for sale or offers or exposes for sale or transfer any pistol, revolver or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person, is guilty of the violation of this chapter, and upon conviction thereof shall be subject to a fine of not more than $300.00, or by imprisonment for not more than 60 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
