A. “Bus” means and includes all motor vehicles operated or hire carrying six or more passengers, which now or hereafter receives passengers at any point within the city limits of the city and carries said passengers over the public streets and thoroughfares of the city to any other points within said city limits, save and except that the motor vehicles owned by, or under contract to, any school district of the state while used in the carrying of pupils to and from public schools, shall not be deemed to be subject to the provisions of this chapter.

B. “Owner” means and includes any person, firm, co-partnership, lessee or corporation which operates, as owner, lessee or otherwise, any bus upon the streets of the city. Ord. 2179 §l, 1946).
