No license issued under this chapter shall be assigned or otherwise transferred without the approval of the common council of the city expressed by resolution. All licenses issued under this chapter shall be revocable for cause and failure of the licensee to maintain in full force and effect the insurance policies required by this chapter; or repeated violations of other provisions of this chapter shall be deemed adequate cause. Revocation of any licenses shall be accomplished only by resolution adopted by the common council of the city. (Ord. 2179 §5 (part), 1946).
