Owners of vicious dogs must within 30 days of the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter provide proof to the city recorder of:

A. A policy of liability insurance, such as homeowners insurance, issued by an insurer in the amount of at least $50,000, insuring the owner for any personal injuries inflicted by the dangerous dog; or

B. A surety bond issued by a surety insurer in a form acceptable to the city recorder in the sum of at least $50,000, payable to any person injured by the vicious dog; or

C. A cash deposit with the city of $50,000 to be paid for actual medical costs incurred by any person injured by the vicious dog. (Ord. 4420 §1 (part), 1988).
