The county health officer has the responsibility for administering the rules and regulations of the board of health of the state relating to rabies control in the county. The county health officer has delegated to the dog control officer or officers the authority to isolate dogs that are not known to have been vaccinated against rabies and have bitten a person, or are suspected of having rabies. (Ord. 4420 §1 (part), 1988).
