Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall upon conviction thereof be punished by a fine of not less than one dollar nor more than three hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the city jail for a term of not less than one day nor more than 90 days, or both fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the court.
