Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $300.00 dollars for each offense, or imprisonment in the city jail not exceeding 30 days or by both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
