In impounding any animal under this chapter, the dog control officer or his designated representative shall have the right to enter upon private property (except entry into a residence or other property which is not open to the public) for the purpose of securing possession and impounding an animal, and shall not be subject civilly or criminally for trespass. (Ord. 4420 §1 (part), 1988).
