A. The mayor upon his own motion may, or at the request of three members of the council shall, by giving notice thereof to all members of the council then in the city, call a special meeting of the council for a time not earlier than 24 hours after the notice is given.

B. Notice to the council shall be by telephone or in writing, if time is available, or by any other means available and practical.

C. Notice of the meeting shall also be given the local news media, to include newspapers and radio, by telephone or in writing if time is available, at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting time. (Ord. 3829 §2, 1976).
